Join us at 8am at CrossFit SoCal for Olympic weightlifting practice. We are going to be focusing on the next still transfer exercise, the Snatch Balance. Then, come out to Mission Bay Park at 10 am for a fun group WOD!
It was a gorgeous winter day at Mission Bay park this Saturday! The WOD was a pull-up and push-up pyramid beginning at 2 pull-ups going up by two reps each round until hitting 20 and 20 push-ups, going down by two until hitting 2 push-ups.
Our 8am WOD at CrossFit SoCal was practicing the Overhead Squat. Next week we will continue our series on the Snatch with the Snatch Balance.
We will be teaching a Snatch series of lessons beginning this Saturday at CrossFit SoCal. We will be teaching the first skill transfer exercise of the Snatch-the overhead squat. Learn proper form and perfect your technique which will translate into confidence when receiving the bar in an overhead position during the Snatch. This class begins at 8:00am.
Then, join us for CrossFit Weekend Warriors at the Mission Bay Park playground at 10am. We will be doing a pull-up and push-up pyramid for time. See the side bar to the right for WOD details.
We started off Saturday's Weekend Warriors at the gym with back squat form practice.
Then we "hung out" at Mission Bay for a team workout. We broke out 5 teams of 5 to 6 men and women. Each team had 5 minutes at each station to max out reps of a particular exercise. The stations were: sit-ups, pull-ups, dips, overhead squats and double unders:
