Hi, this is Mallory. I just had a question about form. I am the girl on the left in the white shirt and the light blue shorts. I was wondering if my squat form looks right? Is my back to bent forward? Thank you.

Hi Mallory,
It was nice meeting you this weekend! Your form looks great. Your back is arched and your are maintaining that low back curve. You have what is called an immature squat. Meaning that you are not yet able to get straight up and down. It takes between 3-5 years of practice to get your hamstrings flexible enough and teaching your brain to fully utilize your hip extensors to squat where your ears drop straight down and not pitch forward. You can practice overhead squats at home with a broomstick in front of a door. This will improve your flexibility drmamtically. If you come this weekend, I will give you more tips on squatting.
